Hi Arnie (or should I say Slideas)I am really looking forward to having fun and playing with the ‘5 easy questions’ in the tutorial seesion, its a great way to encourage problem solving, peer coaching and group interraction. I felt inspired to make chages to my teaching style, and the lovely thing is its not really a lot of extra work - cheers for a great training session, now I aim to put it into practice.
Thanks for your postitive response, Julliet. Remember there’s a new slidea every fortnight, on Sunday, so either check the site regularly, or subscribe to keep yourself automatically informed of any new additions…!
Hi Arnie,
I used the Ice in Switzerland and Angles pps on Tuesday with my Tutorial group - we had a ball. They were facinated by the pics and it brought about such a laugh (the Students kept asking me to go back to the ‘cat piccie’. They couldn’t believe the ice in Switzerland it opened up a great discussion about the weather in UK recently bringing everything to a stand still. I even reminisced about walking to school in the snow as a child, never dreaming it would be closed for the day. This led us into a fab chat about Health and Safety!! What a way to get into a conversation that is curriculum linked.
I am going to show the Students your Health and Safety archive pp after half term that should bring about some great discussion in our Health and Safety session. I have spoken to the department I work in and they are well into the use of integral ILP’s, in fact we are going to trial a new version which we hope will involve our students actively and move us forward as a department and college. Thanks Arnie!!
Can’t wait for the next pp’s they are addictive!!!
