Now that the SLIDEAS! site has been up and running for a couple of months, it would be great to hear from any of you how you are using any of these presentations, and whether they are having a positive impact. So if you’re happy to share your experience, please leave a comment below….

Hi Arnie,
I use your slideas to bring a little light hearted ‘edutainment’ to the classroom. I have shared your ppt’s with colleagues and we all enjoy looking at them and finding ways to lighten the Student’s day. They are also quite good for starting a line of communication with some, who otherwise would not become involved, and opening up areas that can be quite unexpected.
A colleague and I used the Coffee Bean man and others from your bonus pack, and it calmed down a rather noisy and at times boisterous group. They became, slowly at first, very involved in looking at the pictures to see the different images etc.
I look forward to the new arrivals on your site and finding way’s to incorporate all or some of the slides.
Great resource and a valuable tool to break up a 3 hour lesson and have a little fun with the student’s.
A quick point .. one of my students couldn’t remember much from the previous weeks lesson during a questioning round, but she did recall the power point from ‘Angles’ and as she recalled the cat picture she started to recall other parts of the lesson around it. I was so pleased that the ppt acted as an anchor for her and when she relaxed, her memory of the rest of the lesson opened up too. A side effect was that the group communicated well about the ppt and the lesson as a whole.
Cheers
Julliet
